  • Notes on the Goodyear Tire Test

POSTED BY MATT FARAH, SEPTEMBER 08 2008 11:01 AM | PERMALINK

More on the Goodyear Tire test.

As many of you have, by now, seen the episode, I feel the need to clarify a few things in relation to the Goodyear Tire Test.

    - Obviously Goodyear invited us all out there, and put the test together, so in the comparison test between the three tires, it was pre-set up that the new Eagle GT would feel the best (which it honestly did, especially in the wet).

    - Goodyear's tire testing facility is really amazing, with the ability to flood the track with an even inch of...

  • Why I Like Engineers and not Accountants

POSTED BY MATT FARAH, AUGUST 07 2008 11:13 PM | PERMALINK

As I mentioned in the episode, my first performance car was a 1994 Mustang GT that I spent a year turning into a very close replica of a Cobra R. Mine, however, had over 400 ponies and would give a C5 Corvette owner something to think about, courtesy of at 347 stroker kit, Saleen Level III suspension, and a good bit of weight reduction. It was a shame when the moron I eventually sold it to totaled it that very day.

After that, I wasn't really a fan of Fords for a while. I was disappointed with their...

  • 2008 Audi A5 Review

POSTED BY MATT FARAH, JULY 26 2008 02:01 AM | PERMALINK

Some of you have requested to hear my actual thoughts on the A5, as we only used it as an intro in the video. I'm not good at writing a coherent article, so here are some random thoughts about the car:

    - The interior is amazing. It's by far the best interior available at this price point, and the comfort, driving position, and fit surpasses many cars available at any price point. For instance, the A5's interior makes the much more expensive BMW 650i's interior look like amateur hour. The seats in the...

  • An Evening With a Visionary

POSTED BY MATT FARAH, JULY 18 2008 11:43 AM | PERMALINK

Camilo Pardo is a visionary artist, and one of the most unique people I have ever met.

While in Detroit for the Red Bull Air Races, we ended up hanging out with a bunch of the Ford SVT Engineers pretty much every night. Really good people, and after spending a week with them, I actually gained a much greater appreciation for what Ford's performance team can accomplish given the state of the industry, especially with the GT500KR and the Ford GT.

People can say that the Ford GT is just a copy of the...
