I realize that the people who you get to agree to be on your show, probably watch the show and read the comments...so Im sure you dont want them to get slammed too hard.
So I will be nice and say that the Pininfarina Hyperion shows impeccable taste, and the entire exercise was an incredibly wise investment time, money, and effort.
(cough)
ok enough with that.
A little more disappointing than the car itself is that they didnt bother to mention Andrea Pininfarina even once. They could have called it a final an homage to him. Or they couldve talked about what role he may have played in the development of the car. (Im sure though, that he wouldnt want to be mentioned in association with this thing).
Actually, Matt, I must say Im kinda surprised you didnt incorporate Andrea into the interview. Perhaps it was intentional?
Anyway, the episode rocked because you did show the P4/5 which is one of the most ridiculously beautiful machines to lay rubber on the road, along with the XJ13...and hopefully soon, the ROSSI 66
=)
And it was well-produced because you guys made sure to have everyone stand in front of the car so we didnt have to bear to look at its fugliness for 5 minutes straight.
it was absolutely intentional.... they preferred to keep the on-camera interview just to the car, though i expressed my condolances for Andrea Pininfarina several times off-camera.
We hear the full story from idea to production of the Pininfarina Hyperion. We interview the car's owner, Roland Hall, along with Paolo Garella, Lowie Vermeersch, and Jason Castriota of Pininfarina at this year's Pebble Beach show. -Garage419

typical Matt interview does a story on a beautiful hperion and doesn't bother to show the car what a waste....ka..
Pininfarina Hyperion very kool car. great interview
so all I want to know is how much that thing cost?
It's good that you didn't showed the Hyperion too long because it's ugly or should I say it's not my taste of design!!!
btw. Matt is the windshield really so near to the heads of the driver?? Because on pictures the windshield looks very near to the driver's forehead!!!
no, its kind of an optical illusion.... it didn't seem that way in person.
