I'm with Matt, using shock to discourage drinking and driving let alone idiotic behavior on the road is nothing new. blood on the highway....and on and on. oh wah wah wah, someone told me my friends were dead in a planned class exercise due to a drunk driver. Get over it, your friends weren't dead, at least you now know how that reality would feel, and maybe you'll think twice before you or a friend drive drunk.

What a crock! A bunch of fascist CHP officers using scared-straight tactics with a healthy dose of daytime trauma to get them to not drink and drive. Even the PR guy admitted there was some trauma involved! I got an idea: let's just throw beer bottles at the students as they walk in to class, and perhaps vomit on their shoes to help teach them about the unfortunate side effects of irresponsible drinking.

Interesting twist on the format; and its cool to see Matt's 'Michael Moore' act. And I always like to see you guys exploring new formats/clips/things.

It was cool, but I do wish that you cut it down a bit. I guess you had to agree to the cops and the school superintendant that you would air their complete and unedited explanation.

And that fucking tactic by the school and the cops is disgusting. I mean, show them video of real accidents and stuff; that should be fine. Im all for safety on the road, and for educating shithead teenagers who get excited after watching 2Fast2Furious....but its disgusting when people/organizations use their self-riteous crusades as an excuse to shock and disgust innocent people in an effort to 'get their message across'.

why is everyone saying the show sucked? ha! well anyways we had this at my school, it was called shadow dreams are something like that, but we all knew it was fake, i bet they told all the kids at that school that it was fake before hand, but seeing the mock crash and the helicopter picking up the victim was still pretty 'traumatizing' since it all looked so real

whys everyone bashing Matt. Hes an alright host, and I doubt anybody else really knew anything about steam engines or the model T. Jay knows alot.

Matt, Great Show. Are you trying to be the next Walter Cronkite. I'd have to agree with the CHP's method on how but some of the excution may have been lacking. The students may need to grow up and get a pair if its that bad. Beside most of them are hormonal anyway.

And its great they do this, cause most high school teens don't get the point. I"m from Wiscosin and were Ranked #1 on drunk driving accidents. I can turn on the tv see one report of a drunk driving fatality almost weekly. Even the drunk driving laws are looser than most states. It's not right for me to get hurt if someone wasn't being responsible and calling a cab. Just look up the stats on it and it sommerbering.

On the next episode though please let us know about the zr1 and GTR.

Great show!!! This format of investigative report was real cool but the telephone action was a bit too long!!!

If i recall, they did something similar to this when i was in high school.. It had an effect, but like everything with time the message has lost a significant amount of depth.

O and the whole host bashing is ridiculous..

I think only one of the commenters (mik) actualy bashed Matt today. Yea, matts the only guy that can do this job as far as I can see. Im sure Matt couldve played the role on American Top Gear much better than a guy from HGTV who drives a Camry Hybrid. Keep up the good work Matt; youre the next Clarkston.

You are right Charioteer did bash a little hard on Matt maybe I shouldn't be so hard on him (I was having a bad day) and I really wanted to know about the the ZR1 lap.

I don't know what it is but I feel like the show used to be better. I like the format they usually have interesting guests and sick cars I just don't care for Matt's delivery or personality. Just my opinion. I'll stop being a hater now and shut up.

F**k the kids. Is it a car show or a shrink´s office? Matt, stop doing like topgear. They are all about launching a car like the space shuttle, or racing tractors and BS like these. That is why they are no longer the best car show in the UK. (this title now belongs to Fifth Gear). Matt Farah, stop the crap and talk cars! You didn´t even mention the nsx or the zr1 or the Mclaren.

This is one of my favourite car sites but I was disappointed that this show didn't deliver all the topics and even moreso that it hasn't even been addressed in the comments by Matt. Feels a bit like you're taking your audience for granted.

I like Matts hosting style, it's a refreshing change from the packaged top gear nonsense (man have they lost the plot) - but need to keep it *all about the cars* if you're pitching at being a top site for car fans.

I want to see the rest of the show beiotches!
