There was a Pagani Zonda "Monza Edition". One in the US owned by a collector in Southern California. Was on sale through Exotics at Caesar's Palace... I saw it the first time on AutoRox on Spike TV. It was also in one of the Super Speeders DVDs…

I've actually GOT one of those Ferrari Skateboards. And a Lamborghini Barf Bag. The Gallardo has 2 glove boxes, by they way. One "regular" in front of the passenger and a smaller one to the left of the steering wheel called the "Driver's Glove Box" that's about 1/8 the size of a regular Glove Box…

TVR... wierd, wonderful design. Lightweight. Lots of power. The "anti-Lotus. Cool as hell. I wish they sold them here in the US.

I've never owned an American car. And I hope I never have to. Don't care about quality surveys. Want something that LOOKS good and DRIVES like a performance car that FEELS like it's worth the money you spend on it. The CTS-V is a pretty good driver. Handles very sharply, but still has that bulky plastic feeling interior. Yuck.

Death Race? How do these movies get made? Yuck.

Truck "technology?" They've invested in securing profits from stupid consumers. True trucks, those built on frames, use 90 year old technology. The US automakers put themselves into this mess, let 'em rot.

Of course the down side to all of this is that we'll go back to the econobox days and Civics will be coming out of the woodwork. Hmmm...I think I still have a set of neons in the garage.

I would take a Pagani Zonda Cinque over a Bugatti Veyron!
And guys the Ford Fiesta is build since decades for european customers and only the old modells from the 90's are really ugly!
btw. Do you still have sex or do you play golf... ;)

Matt do you drive the Bullrun this year? Maybe you can do some coverage on your run!

    Keep up your good work.

  • MattF G419 (guest) wrote in reply on June 11, 8:58 pm

No Bullrun for me this year, but possibly something new and different :)

hate to say it but I think that the new "death race" version is going to SUCK. Would be cool if they actually made it a bit hardcore, but then U cant go to the movies and see it with ur whole family (and they will earn 100 times more-like transformers -fuck the transformers movie)so:PG-13
And TVR`s looks incredible! There fockin HOT!
    Thanks 4 great show!

    I liked the Farrari go-cart!
    thats nice! :)
there are alot of things wrong with the american car industry... the goverment is one big one...

    Good show, invite him back.

Our American companies must make their “own” small cars, rather than just re-badge Korean cars. But, as you guys alluded to in your show, engineering was not the strong suit of the last 20 years within American car companies. If you exclude trucks and the Corvette (which is no marvel, just simple and smart) there is nothing to point at and say wow, that was a excellent piece of design.

The CTS-V is perfect example of how things are starting to change, but there is more to look forward too. Within the rest of GM and their new car line-up, (Flex-fuel, Hydrogen, Plug-ins etc.) there is proof that American companies are moving forward. I guess we just have to be patient?

A real car enthusiast would never diss Chevy like you do Matt. Why do you hate on Chevy?

  • MattF G419 wrote in reply on July 27, 10:56 pm

I'm not biased. Having owned two Chevys (and currently own one) I am well versed in the ups and downs of the car. I think they make great drivetrains when they try, like in the Corvette. I also think they sometimes cheap out on important things like fit and finish.

  • Jettison wrote on July 26, 4:06 pm

Exactly. Don't be bias Matt. Chevrolet DID defeat your favorite Nissan with the ZR1.

GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE MATT, or your credibility is running thin..

  • MattF G419 wrote in reply on July 27, 10:59 pm

You disagreeing with me about something says nothing about my credibility. It just means we have different opinions about one car. If you always agree with everything I say, the show wouldn't be very interesting would it?
