PRETTY GOOD SHOW THIS GO AROUND..

I find it funny thought, the garage 419 "logo" the trans am esque, firebird - fire breathing phoenix.. what have you. To me that symbolizes American Muscle, and for the most part i see speculation on alot of euro high horsepower supercar stuff.

i was just curious as to where the logo came from, because it is what pulled me to the show, i expected to see more American vehicles. The euro stuff is great ive had plenty of seat time in an 07 911 turbo, and a 98 carerra twin turbo, but it really does not float my boat.

And if your wondering the Carerra was one of the sweetest aftermarket rides ive been in.

When I think of Cadillac, I always think of my late Uncle Stone and his black Brougham. Never in my life would I think that Cadillac would actually create something that would throw down a time like that on the Nurburgring. 5 seconds slower than AN F430!?!?!!?!?!?! jeez....

...oh, I can personally attest to them being quite fast over the Verrazano Bridge as well...

254MPH? Geez... I can barely drive the speed limit over here in CA during the day! (Although, I did get a Veyron up to 140 on the 405 once late at night, but that's a different story.)

Matt, not to be a stickler but Maserati does not make a car called a "Cambiocorsa" that is a transmission option, a la " Ferrari F1 6speed", they do however make the GranTurisimo and the Quattroporte.

TT V8 R8, i've been debating that with my friends for a while, y not just do a super charged R8 or a twinturbo version, i know thats what i'd do if i got an R8 and wanted more power. Ferrari California, well i have to say i like the styling although it sort of "borrows" some ques off the ISF and the 8C i like it, the hood is kinda lame but then again it might look kooler in person, from the drawing tho i'd do a way with that hood and have something like the 599 GTB has. i saw the video on the CTS-V lap, pretty kool c'n as the car used was an automatic and it was on stock tires. deff didnt expect that. i was wondering about the 9ff thing myself. i think i touched on my issues with that thing a lil bit on FLD. firstly can it go for the prodution car record when it more of a tunned production car??? and secondly like i said about the SSC, if ur ride isnt up 2 the standard or the check lists the veyron has, u cant really compare it 2 the veyron. i've even heard one of the SSC guys sort of point out the fact that they dont really compare them selfs to the veyron, cuz besides speed the 2 cars r very different. well as always good show. cznt wait for thursday

Speed Racer did u mean 2 say 240mph or did u really mean 140mph??? cuz thats not really an accomplishment i'm sorry to say. i did 170mph down the 29 in sliverspring in a mod'd supra 2 years ago when i was 17, and i've done 130 in a mazda 5 {five speed} may times ova and that thing is no sports car let along an exotic. i've even gotten up 2, 110 in a prius, a prius dude, so to get a VEYRON!!, a car that can do ova 240 only up 2, 140 is pretty lame in my book. let me in that thing and i promise u 200mph at lthe very least even on public roads.

The R8's V10 is suppposed to be a development of the current V8 and as such not related to the lamborghini motor.

About the CTS-V,
When they say that it has the same lap time as the Dodge Viper I am curious if its the original 500ish hp SRT-10 or the newer 600hp version. Either way it's impressive but it seems ridiculous that any sedan... let alone a Cadillac that is down on hp compared to the 600hp viper (assuming GM isn't up to their old tricks) can be just as fast. And thats coming from a huge GM fan.

If the CTS-V really is faster than a 600hp viper than the mustang and challenger won't stand a chance when the LSA (or even LS8) gets dropped in the Top Dog Camaro.

Then again they will have enough problems taking out the base +300hp V6 version that's expected to weight about 3500lbs.

yeah i was thinking that myself CoolBreeze, but then again the viper isnt the best handling car in the world, even for the most professional drivers its a hand full so i wouldnt be too surprised if those lap times were from the 600hp version.

It's a shame that Ferrari will build their new California with a hardtop. As you said it it's all about saving weight and gas to make it more sportier but a hardtop is a lot heavier than a softtop. Compare the weights of the BMW Z4 and the Mercedes Benz SLK and you will see it.
Only thing is that a hardtop makes the car with roof closed much more stiffer.
