The Garage

Car enthusiasts do their own research through the forums, blogs, and magazines. Garage419 isn't here to be the source of car information like CNN is for current events. Debates, biased reviews, and straight forward interviews are just some of the things to expect on '419.

This was a good episode. Both you guys did a good job discussing things. As uch as I want to, I wont complain about you not driving the cars...Ive already done that and you already assured us that more good stuff was coming in the future. So, good episode and good comparison discussion of both cars. In the future..put the dyno sessions in Part 1 and spend Part 2 on the road/track.

And, for you next discussion with Spinelli...are you guys going to discuss your thoughts on BikiniDrivingSchool?

Well…since I like the versatility of a hatch (I drive a Mazdaspeed 3) the STi has really grown on me. But, I love the fact that out of the box the Evo X gets nearly one full ge-force. I know that one can mod up the Sti to get that…but then one can mod up the Evo X to handle even better too.

From this video, modifications POWER wise, go to the STi. But for a person such as myself, who never tunes much above 350 to the wheels, which is better? I think the Evo still…with some stickier rubber and a little more hp its a supercar. The STi, on the other hand, would require suspension modification after the horsepower, this=more money…

So, OVERALL could the Evo X be the better car to buy? Take all into account; other than just the pure ability to tune massive hp into the car.

Y isnt the Jay leno stuff here instead of on FLD, and have u done ur lap around the ring in the spyker yet??? and if so when do we get to c it????

The mainstream interview is on FLD because they get more traffic right now, and it's good for exposure, but the better Leno stuff will be here next week don't worry. As for the ring, we're going in June.

Such a one sided video, along with the first video. You should really get someone who doesn't have either car & really knows little about them. Because the Evo can be tuned & has been tuned to 1300 HP. Very little mods on the evoX could easily get you the 2/10ths of a second & not cost you 2G's. That is tested & true, to bad you guys are so one sided. But hey at leave I got to hear a really crappy sounding new vehicle. I love driving in the evo with the mods, I still can hear my radio with the windows down unlike that ugly STi. Hahahahhahaha

EVO X or New STi - Part 2 - Garage419

Matt Farah puts the new EVO X and New STi on the Dyno at Auto Masters AMR in Maroneck NY.  After a few dyno pulls, tuning questions are answered and we finally get an idea of what makes the two cars such completely different beasts. - Garage419.com
