The Garage
Car enthusiasts do their own research through the forums, blogs, and magazines. Garage419 isn't here to be the source of car information like CNN is for current events. Debates, biased reviews, and straight forward interviews are just some of the things to expect on '419.

It may be a culture/age thing as my boss is impressed with what it can do, but not so much its looks. It seems that if you're not too familiar with Japanese culture, aren't techno-savvy AND you are over 30, you are not going to dig it. Too me, the car looks like a weapon or a highly technological device made with very specific goals in mind. And we already know what those goals are as the GT-R beat the 911 and the 'Vette by 5 seconds.
One of the engineers of the GT-R (his name escapes me) has said the look of the car was inspired by the giant robots in the Japanese anime, "Gundam". I'd say that's about right. This car looks like its more likely to transform into a giant robot than a Camaro does.
Max Mosley is my man of the week :D
Nissan GTR is different, cheaper and beat the crap out of everyone. Mr. Angry should grow up.
Saying BMW 1 series is "hot-rod" is double-standard. Which part of the 1 series is stunning? It looks like a "Pig" with a wanna-be sub-sport car, expensive.
Mr. Angry should look in the mirror and look who's uglier.
Relax Sally... it seems as though you've got your panties in a twist over this. The GTR is an ugly car... period.
Now go back to playing xbox, have a Coke and smile and be done with it.
The 1 series is a nice car in 135 trim...that tt is very very quick...but a stretch at 50k....sorry I'll pass.
Oil in trees???....no comment
Shelby??.....the Magic of Mr. Shelby ended LOOOONNNG ago....licensing his name to everything short of underwear is a damn same.
Nice show guys...
Furthermore, I think it is time for everyone to make sex videos! Personally, I will be dressed as a Canadian Mounty surrounded by beaver…lots of beaver, screaming at a girls dressed as hockey referees! It will be hot!
This makes for great podcasts while driving to work, or great video during breakfast.!!!!

I thought that the Max Mosley stuff is funny but why did have to pay £5000 tohae his ass whipped when anyone at Mclaren would do it gratis. As a fellow Brit though I can say he is a disgrace!
I was lucky enough to be at Bedford Autodrome in the U.K for a track test that a mag was doing on the GT. Yeah it went like hell but sounded like a Dyson Vacuum and I could not believe how big and clumsy it looked. Was pitted against a 911 GT3. Would love a 135i but with U.K fuel prces I guess it will have to be the 123d version 2.0 twin turbo diesel 0-60 in 6.5 150mph 201 bhp and 50mpg.
