The Garage

Car enthusiasts do their own research through the forums, blogs, and magazines. Garage419 isn't here to be the source of car information like CNN is for current events. Debates, biased reviews, and straight forward interviews are just some of the things to expect on '419.

Yeah funny interview but I don't think that simulator driving experience will help to increase the abilities of U.S. drivers!! They would have to attend real driving lessons on track and in the citiys and the highway... to achieve good abilities!!

wow !! good interview ! man, I knew he was gonna say GTR for his favorite car ! he cant go against his own ! hahaha WOW !
    I need a PS3 ! I will buy it when they box the PS3 with GT5 !

so if computer sim is out of the question, why does the air force use it? and like Kazunori said, air traffic control and pilots use computer sim.
it has to help with some aspect of the capability of the brain to deal with certain scenarios when behind the wheel.
Im all for driver sim test at the DMV that you can practice at home on GT5.

Amazing interview, seriously. I love hearing (well, reading) what he has to say.

Plus Alex Roy is awesome to listen to as well.

    Alex,
Very good (relaxed) interview...only eclipsed by that cool Polizei Jacket.

    Best Regards

The U.S. by far has the worse driver's training. It seems our focus is on the manufacturers and making the cars safer, instead of prepping the drivers. This results in more expensive and heavier cars and worse drivers. I've never been to Germany, but have a good friend who lives there, and from what he has told me, it is way better. Their system is much more rigorous and harder to obtain a license than it is here. Not to mention you can't get a license until your 18, which I know I'm tired of seeing teenagers running around texting while trying to turn up the radio. And unlike most people, I was privileged to grow with a go-cart and my own dirt track, and because of that, I have a great understanding of physics when it comes to cars. I think the U.S. needs some serious reform when it comes to our driver's training and laws.
